Morton Irving Silver, age 95, life-long resident of Belvidere; Owner of Louis Silver Scrap Iron & Metal Yard; served honorably in the United States Army during WWII; beloved husband for 57 years of Elaine, nee Katz formerly of Chicago; loving father of Jay (Maida) Silver and Loren Silver; adored Zayde of Noah Benjamin and Zoey Esther Silver; devoted son of the late Louis and the late Dorothy Silver; cherished brother of six, who preceded Morton in death.
