Harvey Kiva "Lefty" Gersten, age 95. Longtime resident of Skokie. Beloved husband for 68 years to the late Lillian. Sweet and loving father of Jeffrey (Leslie), Barbara (Peter) Kimball and Elyse (Thomas) Magill. Proud and cherished grandfather of Grey, Peter, Alex, Claire, Joshua and Matthew and great grandfather of Macklin; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews and a great friend to many. Preceded in death by his parents, Akiva and Bessie Gerstein, brothers Leo and Seymour, and sisters Berenyce Gerstein and Sandra Wynn. Harvey lived his life with passion. He was a season ticket holder for the Chicago Bears since 1948, loved golf, music, opera, gardening and current events.
