I had the great opportunity to meet Kasey on Sunday at Soho House. I just moved to Chicago and was eager to meet new friends, one of whom invited me to the pool party. I am glad I went. While there, I got me meet Kasey. She was such a kind and generous person; even invited me to shabbat (I am not Jewish) this Friday. We talked openly for a while in the warm end of summer sun and even took some fun photos. I may have been one of the last people to take a photograph with her on Sunday, she looked happy. I do not think I met her by chance and will forever hold this a special moment in my life. I am not sure what to say, but in our brief moment together, I can imagine it must be difficult to lose her and her glow--she had a major impact on me. She was very special. I am very sorry for your loss.
