"Chip" Smoler, age 68, beloved husband for 44 years of Carol, nee Handelman; loving father of Adam (Libby) and Marc (Sarah); adored grandfather of Ari and Liam; dear brother of Joanne Sterling; devoted son of the late Sidney and the late Eleanor; cherished brother-in-law of Beverly Handelman. Chip was courageous in his cancer battle. Service Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at Anshe Emet Synagogue, 3751 N. Broadway, Chicago. Interment Memorial Park.
