Obituary for Armando Susmano MD

Armando Susmano, MD, age 90, passed away on January 26, 2023, at the Carlyle House in Kettering, Ohio. Armando was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was a cardiologist at Rush-Presbyterian St. Lukes Hospital for forty years. Armando loved piano, composing and recorded a CD of cabaret tangos. He was a past president of the American Friends of Hebrew University and was also an avid philanthropist. Amando was the beloved husband of the late Lidia Susmano, nee Bolotin; loving father of Laura (Robert) Englander and Sandra (Nicholas) Doninger; treasured grandfather of four beautiful grandchildren: Elliott (Sandy) Englander, Carolyn (fiancé Max Roberts), Talia and Julian Doninger, adored great grandfather of George and Elizabeth Englander; cherished brother of Daniel (the late Sara, nee Bialiglovski)  Susmano; dear uncle of Irene, Diana and Adrian (Bonnie) Susmano, Yenny (Hector) Luchansky, Teby (Deby) Bolotin, and Damian (Sonia) Bolotin; great uncle of Ryan and friend to many. Graveside service Sunday, 1:30 p.m. CT at Westlawn Cemetery, Section Memorial, 7801 W. Montrose, Norridge. The service will be livestreamed on Armando’s webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
