I am so sad and disheartened to hear of Carol's passing. I wish I had known about her memorial. Though we lost touch since I stopped swimming, I counted Carol as a friend. We were co-lane swimmers and always encouraged each other. Those years swimming for the Catfish were wonderful and Carol was always there by my side as we shared our experiences. I am so sorry I lost touch with her. I know her children were her great joy in life. Please accept my sincere and deep condolences.

I swam with Carol for the Wild Catfish team. We had so much fun competing as a team and commiserating together at how hard the workouts were. I remember Carol telling me about the accomplishments of her children. She was very proud of all of you. You can be proud of your Mom in all of her accomplishments. My sincere sympathy with the loss of your Mother.

Dear Dinah, Aaron, and Jordan, I was so shocked and am so sorry for the loss of your mom. Carol was always so strong and reilient! I met her when we both joined the Wild Catfish in the early 80s. Her grit and determination were always inspiring to me as she did the triathlons and distance swimming events, like the 200 fly! She was also so funny and lots of fun to be around, always optimistic and encouraging to all her fellow catfish. She loved her kids, that’s for sure! She was always talking about you! She felt she had the best kids! I’m picturing her now, being reunited with her beloved Jeff, as he sits on his bike, probably saying, “Its about time! What took you so long?” Her positive spirit and bravery will live on in all of you.
