Howard “Howie” Salzman, age 91, of Skokie, Mini-Cam Operator with NBC Chicago for 25 years; beloved husband and best friend for 62 years of Merle, nee Sachar; loving father of Caryn (Gene) Hollander and Scot (Audrey) Salzman; adored Papa of Josh Hollander, Marissa (Bobby Bruns) Hollander, Adam and Shayna Salzman; devoted son of the late Ira and the late Muriel Salzman; fond brother-in-law of the late Serene “Sookie” (late Robert) Goldstein; treasured uncle and friend to many; proud owner of his beloved companion Rusty. Howie was devoted to his work and always provided for his family. He was an avid animal lover, especially dogs. He will be dearly missed by his family. The graveside service will be private.
