Dear Jodi,

Even though my memories are not recent ones...they are my memories which I will treasure forever.....As my childhood best friend, I remember going to your beautiful home at 20 East Cedar...Going Up the "manned" elevator, to I believe, the fourth floor....going in your house and feeling the warm welcome of your father and mother...that time and place always smelled like home to me...clean, comforting, happiness and love..... when he would come home from work......I remember being with you at your home...and when your father walked in....you shared a special "whistle"....which I also had with my father....I thought we were the only ones.......I can still here you responding back to your father with a whistle....letting him know you were at home safe and happy....I remember a trip with you to Palm Springs.....camp....and of course our days at Ravislo CC......your father was always greeting you with a smile, kiss and hug.....saying, "Hi Jod!"......always reminding me of how similar your family and mine were.....I last saw your father quite a few years ago at my cousins wedding...we shared a warm hug and chat.....and he couldn't have been nicer, warmer...more loving and respectful just like it was back in the 70's..........his exchange with me was so familiar......and felt like home ......As my father and I have discussed over the last few days....He was one of the good guys...a true gentleman.......So, dear Jodi, I am thinking of you...and truly am so sorry.....I will always think of his warm hugs, smile and kindness......it is a great loss and he will be missed......Love, Jennifer Mages
