Obituary for Scott A. Rubin

Scott Rubin, age 56, adored husband of Julie Rubin, to whom he was married for almost 30 years; loving father of Ben and Haley; devoted son of Lois and the late Ira Rubin; cherished brother of Marcey (Jeff Epstein) Stamas and the late Linda (David) Richter; caring son-in-law of Alan and Shirley Silver; dear brother-in-law of Barry (Elizabeth) Silver and Marc (Deborah) Silver; treasured uncle, nephew, and cousin to many.  Scott graduated from Highland Park High School and the University of Illinois. He began his career in real estate management and then became a leading franchisee of Auntie Anne's Pretzels and other successful businesses throughout the country. He then became the Chief Development Officer of Fresh Dining Concepts.

Scott's life revolved around his love for his family and friends, many of whom were lifelong companions. He was always helpful, generous, kindhearted, and funny.  He took on life with a twinkle in his eye and a passion for making things easier for everyone else.  He loved to share his enthusiasm for travel and explore new places. Service Thursday, 10:00 a.m. CT at The Chapel, 195 Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove (1 Blk N. of Lake Cook Rd.). The service will be livestreamed on Scott's webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com.
